Trained by Ollie Sangster, the three-year-old gelding is chasing a hat-trick following decisive all-weather victories at Wolverhampton and Kempton over seven furlongs. The application of a headgear change (tongue-tie) sparked significant improvement, unlocking late speed. Champion jockey Oisin Murphy returns to ride, providing expert guidance over his proven distance and surface. My NAP bet

On a basement mark for stable yard who are bang in form with three winners from 12 sent out last couple of days. Was 4th here on only start on this surface and is whopping 18lb lower now than that handicap run a couple of years ago. Good jockey booking and if yard can eke out any improvement has an ew squeak off this lowly mark. Has been well backed the last three times but connections are hoping a change of scenery can bring around the all important win.

On Key looks a strong contender after finishing second over six furlongs at Wolverhampton last time, showing good pace and battling well to the line. He returns to seven furlongs with course-and-distance winning form already on his record, and if he settles well and produces a similar effort, he has every chance of going one better.

This 4yo filly has been a little frustrating for connections but she'll come here fresh tonight after a three month break, a strong jockey in the saddle and maybe worth one last chance. She was a runner-up twice over this 7f C/D during the summer. In the last of those races she split two runners who have both come out and won two races each since, and are rated much higher now.

Ran a great race last time out when a bet for us but was still put to one side pretty convincingly by the re-opposing Ridger who's since gone on to win again. In truth it will be hard for that form to be turned around but Saisons D'Or beat the rest of the field by a couple of lengths in that run and he looks ready to go in again. We get a 10lb swing in the weights with Ridger who has since been made a non-runner at Kempton due to an abscess. If that in anyway temporarily halts his progression then we are getting a great price at double figures for Saisons D'Or.

They are dropping this one back down in trip slightly with a good jockey booking / change, worth a small ew saver bet.

Won off much higher marks in his younger days and returned after a long break over course and distance with an eye-catching effort last time, staying on best late for fifth. Down to a career-low mark, so a chance is taken that he can outrun huge odds. Each-way nap at 50/1.

Hinted at ability earlier in their career and not had the run of races for their new stable of late. Tonight's conditions may suit, and we may now see the best of Venetian Romance at this trip.
