1. bet365
- Builder: Bet Builder
- Sports: football, tennis, rugby, basketball, darts
- Cross-game: Yes
- Extras: cash out, Edit My Bet, price boosts, in-play builders, Sub On Play On
bet365 was the first UK bookie to offer "Request a Bet" back in 2018, and its bet builder is still the one to beat. With their sheer range in selections, as well as prices, it’s no real surprise that bet365 comes out on top. bet365 is renowned for its comprehensive Bet Builder feature, allowing users to craft personalised bets by combining selections from various markets within a single event. This tool offers flexibility, enabling combinations across different matches and sports, distinguishing it from many competitors. Whereas some bookmakers offer bet builders on football, if at all, bet365 has them across multiple sports, including tennis, rugby and basketball. On top of that, they can be included in multiples – great news for fans of accumulators and higher odds. bet365’s bet builder is available in-play, and all selections have cash out.
The extras are what put bet365 top. Sub On Play On moves a player bet to the substitute if your player is taken off before the market is settled. Among the big high-street bookies, only bet365 and William Hill offer anything like it. You can cash out a builder, add selections from other matches, and change your bet after placing it with Edit My Bet. Builders also qualify for bet365's sign-up offer.
The only real gap is that some smaller sports and leagues have fewer builder markets than the top football leagues. OLBG users rate bet365 4.5/5 from more than 1,200 ratings, the highest of any major UK bookie.
Pros
- Builders on five sports, pre-match and in-play.
- Sub On Play On substitution cover.
- Ready-made builders for quick bets.
Cons
- Fewer builder markets on smaller leagues.
2. Ladbrokes

- Builder: Bet Builder and Bet Builder+
- Sports: football, tennis, horse racing
- Cross-game: Yes, through Bet Builder+
- Extras: suggested builders, player markets
Ladbrokes has one of the most complete bet builders in the UK. Its football builder mixes the popular markets with less common ones, and covers both team and individual player bets, plus its suggested builders give you a quick starting point if you don't want to build from scratch.
In January 2026 Ladbrokes added something that only a few other bookies on this list have: a racing bet builder. You can combine markets from one race into a single price, such as a horse to win, another to place, and the winning distance. Prices update as you add selections, and can reach 100,000/1. Bet Builder+ then lets you combine a racing builder with builders from other sports in one accumulator. The racing builder also works on self-service terminals in Ladbrokes shops.
The drawbacks are smaller. Ladbrokes have substitution cover like bet365's Sub On Play On, and its builders cover fewer sports than bet365 or BetVictor.
Pros
- Bet Builder+ combines racing with other sports.
- Strong player markets and suggested builders.
- Low £5 welcome offer stake.
Cons
- Fewer sports than bet365 or BetVictor.
3. Coral

- Builder: Bet Builder and Bet Builder+
- Sports: football, tennis, horse racing
- Cross-game: Yes, through Bet Builder+
- Extras: 100+ player and team markets, profit boosts
Coral runs on the same platform as Ladbrokes, so it has the same racing bet builder and Bet Builder+. Where it stands out is football player bets. Coral offers over 100 pre-match and live markets, from a player to be sent off to assists, tackles and shots. That's more choice than most bookies give you.
The depth makes Coral a strong pick for punters who build bets around individual players rather than results. You can combine a player's shots on target, a booking and a team result in one builder, then add a racing builder through Bet Builder+. Profit boosts come up regularly and can be used on builders.
Coral sits just below Ladbrokes because the two products are so similar, and Ladbrokes is rated slightly higher overall. Like Ladbrokes, it doesn't advertise substitution cover.
Pros
- Over 100 player and team markets per match.
- Racing bet builder and Bet Builder+.
- Profit boosts on builders.
Cons
- Very similar to Ladbrokes, so little reason to have both.
- No Substitution Guarantee.
4. BetMGM

- Builder: Bet Builder
- Sports: football, NBA, NFL
- Cross-game:
- Extras: profit boosts
BetMGM is the best option on this list if you bet on American sports. As well as football, it has full bet builders on the NBA and NFL, which many UK bookies don't cover in depth.
On football, you can add up to 10 selections to a Premier League builder, and Champions League games are well covered. Profit boosts can be applied to builders. BetMGM's welcome offer also includes £10 of credit to use on bet builders, which makes it a good way to try the product. At OLBG, we rank BetMGM's app as one of the best in the country.
The weakness is the range beyond those three sports. BetMGM doesn't have the tennis, darts or racing builders that bet365 and Ladbrokes offer, and sources don't say whether you can combine matches in one builder.
Pros
- Full NBA and NFL bet builders.
- Up to 10 selections on Premier League games.
- £10 bet builder credit in the welcome offer.
Cons
- Limited to football, NBA and NFL.
5. BetVictor

- Builder: Bet Builder
- Sports: football, boxing, snooker, NFL and more
- Cross-game: Yes
- Extras: cash out, price boosts, editable builders
BetVictor’s bet builder is brilliant. Like bet365, it’s offered across different sports – including boxing, snooker and the NFL, among others – offering excellent variety. You can build your own, use pre-built options, or even slightly edit the pre-made bets. If you’re still not entirely happy or can’t see what you’re after, you can tweet BetVictor, using the hashtag, and there’s a good chance that you’ll be offered a price and it gets added to the site. The platform frequently offers boosted Bet Builders, providing enhanced odds on pre-built selections. With a clean design and intuitive navigation, BetVictor ensures a seamless betting experience. Additionally, the platform offers competitive odds across a broad spectrum of sports markets, catering to both novice and seasoned bettors.
The builder has all the main features. You can combine selections from different matches, cash out your builder, use price boosts and edit your bet after placing it. OLBG users rate BetVictor 4.3/5 from more than 200 ratings, and its app is among the most popular in the UK.
BetVictor sits below the top four because it lacks a headline feature like bet365's substitution cover, Ladbrokes' racing builder or BetMGM's builder credit. Its football player markets also aren't as deep as Coral's.
Pros
- Builders on boxing, snooker and NFL.
- Cross-game builders.
- One of best betting apps in the UK.
Cons
- No standout extra, such as Substitution Guarantee.
- Fewer player markets than some others in this list.
6. Unibet

- Builder: Bet Builder
- Sports: football and several others
- Cross-game: Yes, up to 12 selections
- Extras: cash out, price boosts, editable builders
Across all our testing, it’s Unibet who offer some of the best odds when it comes to bet builders. In addition, you can make up to 12 selections per builder, tailoring incredibly specific bets to your requirements. The bookmaker is already an excellent option for cash out and in-play betting, and factoring those into its bet builders makes it one of the best around. The platform boasts an extensive range of sports markets, live streaming services, and in-play betting options. Unibet's mobile app is well-regarded for its user-friendly design, providing seamless navigation and functionality. The platform also emphasises responsible gambling, offering various tools to help users manage their betting activities.
You can add up to 12 selections across different matches, which is more than most bookies allow. Builders can be cashed out, boosted and edited after you place them. Unibet ranks third on OLBG's current bet builder page.
The drawback is that Unibet's market range is narrower than the bookies above it. It doesn't have the deep player markets of Coral, the racing builder of Ladbrokes, or the substitution cover of bet365. It's best used as a second account for checking whether you can get a better price on the same builder.
Pros
- Some of the best bet builder odds in the UK.
- Up to 12 selections across matches.
- Instant odds as you build.
Cons
- Fewer markets than the top five.
- No Substitution Guarantee.
7. William Hill

- Builder: #YourOdds
- Sports: football, NFL and others
- Cross-game: Yes
- Extras: pre-loaded boosted builders, editable builders, substitution cover on player bets
William Hill's #YourOdds builder is strongest if you like ready-made bets. It runs a selection of pre-loaded, boosted builders on the big matches, so you can place a bet in a couple of taps rather than building it yourself. You can still build your own across different matches, and edit builders after placing them.
With plenty of options available from William Hill, its bet builder is definitely among the better ones out there. There are pre-loaded bet builder odds ready and waiting and the ability to use their #YourOdds on X. The platform offers competitive odds, a vast array of sports markets, and regular promotions. William Hill's mobile app is highly rated, providing users with a seamless betting experience on the go.
William Hill is also one of only two big high-street bookies, with bet365, to offer substitution cover on player bets. If your player is subbed off before the market settles, the bet moves to their replacement. It covers football and NFL builders. The weakness is that sources don't confirm cash out on #YourOdds builders, and its player markets aren't as deep as Coral's.
Pros
- Pre-loaded boosted builders on big matches.
- Cross-game and editable builders.
- Substitution Guarantee on player bets.
Cons
- Fewer player markets than others on this list.
8. Midnite

- Builder: Acca Builder
- Sports: football and others
- Cross-game: Yes
- Extras: Sub Hero, Bet Builder Club, cash out, in-play builders
Midnite is a newer bookie built around its app, and its bet builder features match the big brands. The Acca Builder lets you combine selections from different matches, pre-match or in-play. Sub Hero moves an anytime goalscorer bet, and other selected player bets, to the substitute if your player is taken off.
The standout is the Bet Builder Club. Place a £10 builder at odds of 3/1 or bigger and you get a £5 free bet, which no other bookie on this list offers as standard. Its iOS app is rated 4.7 stars.
Midnite sits lower because it's a smaller bookie with a shorter track record. It also has limited live streaming and no Best Odds Guaranteed, which matters if you bet on racing too.
Pros
- Bet Builder Club free bets.
- Sub Hero substitution cover.
- Cross-match builders, pre-match and in-play.
- Highly rated app.
Cons
- Limited live streaming.
- No Best Odds Guaranteed.
9. 888Sport

- Builder: MarketMaker
- Sports: mainly football
- Cross-game: Yes
- Extras: cash out, Blitz price boosts, editable builders
Another great bet builder is that of 888Sport. They offer both pre-match and live markets in which to create your bets, across different sports, with football the pick of the bunch. The bookmaker offers cash out on bet builders, assuming all markets are still winnable, as well as running specific bet builder offers like their Bet Builder Blitz, which enabled users to get their stake back as a bet if their NFL bet builder lost.
It's a good option if most of your builders are on football and you want to place them during the game, when quick odds and a simple interface matter most.
The drawback is the narrow sports range. If you bet on tennis, racing or American sports, you'll get more from bet365, Ladbrokes or BetMGM. Player markets are also thinner than at the top three.
Pros
- Good pre-match and in-play football builders.
- Cross-game builders.
- Blitz price boosts.
Cons
- Mainly football only.
- Fewer player markets than the top three.
10. Betway

- Builder: #BetYourWay
- Sports: football, NFL, basketball
- Cross-game: Yes
- Extras: cash out, price boosts, editable builders
Betway's #BetYourWay builder has a strong US sports focus, with good NFL and basketball builders alongside football. You can combine selections across different matches, cash out, boost and edit your builders. OLBG ranks Betway sixth on its current bet builder page.
Where Betway’s bet builder excels is when it comes to American sports. The sportsbook already offers some of the best odds for basketball and its bet builder for NFL is arguably the best. If you can’t see the bet you’re after, you can use Betway’s #BetYouWay hashtag on X to get the odds that you’re after.
It's a useful second option alongside BetMGM if you bet on American sports, as checking both gives you the best chance of a bigger price. For football, though, its builder is less detailed than the bookies higher up this list. Betway sits last because its features are solid rather than standout. It doesn't offer substitution cover, racing builders or builder free bets, but it still makes our Top 10, and is an excellent feature when compared to the entire UK market.
Pros
- Good NFL and basketball builders.
- Cross-game builders.
- Cash out, boosts and editing.
Cons
- Football builder less detailed than rivals.
- No substitution cover or builder free bets.
What is a Bet Builder Bet?
The "Bet Builder" function has emerged as a game-changer in the dynamic world of online sports betting. This feature allows bettors to create custom wagers by combining multiple selections from a single event into one bet.
🔀💰 Bet builders = More control & opportunities!
🎯📈 Choose markets, combine in single bets, and even cross-game accumulators for higher returns!
💪⚽️ Evolving industry = Innovations like bet builders, allowing punters to make the most of changing odds.
🌟🔍 Personalization = Tipsters build followings, sharing bet builders & ideas.
🙌🔁 Bookies offer multis, in-play bet building, editable bet builders, pre-selected games & more!
📚💸 Risky yet rewarding!
🎢💣 Stay informed to maximize wins with personalized bets!
How Bet Builders Work
Often in the past, a punter could get caught out with having bets made void due to "Related Contingency". This was an incident of one or more predictions where the outcome of one bet wholly or partly contributed to the outcome of the other.
These bets, under the bookmaker betting rules, were made void.
Example: The following two bets would not have been accepted as a double in the past as this would have been deemed a related contingency bet. You can understand why, as the second part of the double would ensure the first part of the double could not lose.
- Arsenal to win at 1.80 odds
- Arsenal to win 2-0 at 9.00 odds
So you can have things like:
- Chelsea to win
- Chelsea to Score Over 2.50 Goals
- Game to have Over 8 2nd Half Corners
- Penalty to be awarded
As you add these different possibilities to your bet, so the odds increase. There are scores of different options and tens of thousands of permutations that can be created.
As mentioned above, they are becoming ever-increasingly popular and as a result, are evolving. It’s not uncommon for bookmakers to allow punters to create bet builders and multiply those together into an accumulator.
Pros
- More flexibility with your selections.
- Potential high odds (something to consider if using free bets or promotions).
- Some bookmakers offer cross-game bet builders, so one selection from Arsenal vs Liverpool, with a selection from Manchester United vs Chelsea.
Cons
- Not all bookmakers offer them.
- Specific features, such as Cash Out, or Acca Insurance, are not available on all bet builders.
- Only show one side of particular markets. For example, you might see odds on a player having 2+ shots in a game, but you won't get odds on them not.
The Difference Between Bet Builders and Request a Bet
Request A Bet was created to provide bettors with more flexibility and give them more creativity and control over what to bet on. The feature allows users to go online (usually X, and request a specific bet that doesn’t exist on their chosen bookmaker’s site, the bookmaker will then respond with their odds, and they can then make the bet if they’re happy to.
Bet Builders are a little more automatic. The odds for markets are already there, and your bet gets calculated in real-time as you build your bet on the betting app. Think of it as choosing from a list instead of asking for something completely new.
How to Request a Bet
There are several ways to request a bet these days. The preferred method is, of course, the quickest and easiest. With that in mind, these are the options in order of preference:
Use a dedicated bet builder section within a bookmaker site
Bookmaker X accounts, requesting the exact bet you would like odds on
Go to the counter at a local shop and ask directly (not recommended)
It’s worth reiterating that "Request A bet" is simply the name adopted by Skybet for this function on their site. As mentioned, different bookmakers have different names for it, and with that in mind…
Top Bookmaker Bet Builder Names
Different bookmakers use different names for their Request A Bet and bet builders. These are often turned into relevant hashtags for punters to request on X, and below is a selection of some of the best ones out there.
Can You Use Cash Out on Bet Builders?
The short answer is that it depends. It depends on the bet, and it depends on the bookmaker, as not all bookmakers offer cash out on their bet builders, even if they do on other bets. bet365 – top of our list – obviously do, they wouldn’t be top if they didn’t.
As with cash out options on standard single bets, you will only be offered part of your potential winnings, and is a case of deciding to take a smaller profit (or lessen your loss) rather than risking it for the maximum return.

Best Cash Out Betting Sites for Football and More
Best Bet Builder Odds
The very nature of request-a-bets is that people are looking for bigger prices on their football bets. But do you know some bookmakers offer MORE THAN DOUBLE the odds for the exact same bet builder bet?

At the time of writing, I am pleased to present something I believe to be a unique piece of research on bet builder features across the best betting sites that offer these promotions.
The Bet Builder function in its various forms and names is not new. It has been around since SkyBet introduced Request a Bet via X requests for specific bets unavailable on site.
The bookmaker formerly known as Surrey Sports, it is claimed, are the pioneers of offering a price on a unique bet. In reality, the practice has been going on for many years. Decades even.
However, they can receive the pioneer tag for what 'asking for a price' has become in recent times. Indeed 'RequestABet' is now trademarked. Some bookmakers have decided to call theirs 'Bet Builder,' while others have sat around a table and spat out their variations of the moniker.
There are three distinct online offerings of the bet builder feature and a fourth which sits outside this research, namely, going into a shop and asking. Those to which I refer in this article are as follows.
- You can tweet requests
- On-site bet builder functions
- Mobile-only bet builders
Request a Bet Odds Comparison
Disclaimer: It would be impossible to compare every possible combination of every football match, so I have used a straightforward 3 part bet. The options are also from the most popular and basic markets to ensure comparison of as many different bookmakers offering the feature can be completed. Going into marginal markets would not allow direct comparisons between bookmakers. The project is ongoing and more comparisons will continue to be added and a league table of best odds maintained.
Below I present only two games, as Case Study Examples, used and explain the bets on which I requested prices. Regardless of how I went about obtaining the prices, I present here, what odds were offered by each of the bookmakers offering Bet Builders on the games from the 64 analysed.
Germany v the Netherlands
Germany to Win the Match - BTTS 'Yes' and FGS
| Best Odds | 21.00 | bet365 - betway |
| Average Odds | 15.32 | n/a |
| Lowest Odds | 11.40 | 10Bet |
As you can see, the best odds offered were some 84.2% better than the worst. That's an incredible difference.
In the most simple terms, a £10 bet with one of the top 3 would return £210 against £114 with the worst!
- Min Deposit £5

Barca Win - BTTS 'Yes' - FGS
| Best odds | 18.00 | Unibet |

These prices are also an excellent example of tweet response time, as I requested both bets at the same time around mid-morning.
We continued to make bet requests for games from the Premier League, Championship and Champions League throughout, eventually evaluating 20 matches and 20 request-a-bets from each of the 44 bookmakers.

Key Factors to Evaluate:

- Low Risk

- Everything Else You Want!
🔒 Trustworthy
With over 80 online bookmakers licensed in the UK, we only list those vetted by the UK Gambling Commission in our bookmakers guide. Betting with non-licensed bookmakers offering bet builder betting can be risky and may lead to complications in case of disputes. For peace of mind, always check if a bet builder site holds a valid license through the Gambling Commission website.

✅ Reliable
Not all licensed bookmakers offering bet builders meet our reliability criteria. We exclude those with a track record of pending payments, shifting terms and conditions, and poor customer service. While we highlight these issues in our reviews, the worst offenders don’t make our list.
🟢 Low Risk
Small, new companies in the UK market may pose higher risks due to potential cash flow issues. However, if they are UK Gambling Commission-registered, they must meet financial solvency criteria. Larger, more established companies typically present lower risks. While it's rare for bookmakers to close without honouring bets, choosing established operators for long-term (ante-post) wagers is advisable. Diversifying your bets across multiple bookmakers can also mitigate risk.
🌟 Reputable
Reputation is best gauged through user experiences. We gather over 500 user reviews from the OLBG community to offer detailed insights into various UK betting sites. These reviews cover customer service experiences and how disputes were resolved.
👥 Player-Friendly Terms and Conditions
We meticulously analyze each betting site's terms and conditions, withdrawal policies, and deposit terms. Some sites may impose charges for certain transactions or inactivity, so it's crucial to be well-informed. Our community reviews and research highlight these details to ensure you get fair terms.
Tips for Choosing Your Next Betting Site with Bet Builder:
- Minimum Deposit Requirements: Always check the minimum amount you need to deposit to activate your account.
- Deposit and Withdrawal Methods: Ensure the site supports convenient payment methods for you.
- Withdrawal Policies: Look for any fees associated with withdrawals.
- Betting Rules: Understand the minimum bet amount, maximum winnings, and specific rules for voided bets.

Banking and Responsible Gambling
There are many ways to fund your betting account. While this list is not exhaustive, it covers the most popular and trustworthy methods.
Visa Debit Card
The most common deposit method for online betting sites is a debit card, which is a straight transfer from a UK bank account. Bookmakers or gambling companies are no longer allowed to accept credit cards as a deposit method. This is fast, great for in-play betting and bet builders.
PayPal
Most UK bookies accept PayPal, the most popular e-wallet with sports bettors. Some people like to use it to keep betting transactions off their bank statements, while others find it a much faster way to deposit into and out of betting sites. However, using PayPal could exclude you from welcome offers with some bookies.
Apple Pay
Many of the larger online betting sites support Apple Pay, which is expected to be available on more sites soon. Deposit and withdrawal times will be the same as those for bank cards used through Apple Pay.
Skrill
Skrill is an alternative to PayPal. Formerly known as Moneybookers, it has always been a popular payment method for online gamblers and is accepted at most sites.
PaySafeCard
PaySafe Cards are prepaid cards which can be used to fund online betting accounts. Fees aren't charged for deposits so these are a popular way to fund online accounts for those who don't use bank cards.
Click on the links in the above list to view each bookmaker's review. We will detail all the deposit methods available for each site.
With most of the online bookmakers listed here, you may be able to easily transfer money between accounts and other products such as poker, casino, and bingo. Transferring money between accounts is often very simple, and if you only want to play the sportsbook, you can ignore this function.
👍 Responsible Gambling, Identification & Affordability Checks
In recent years, the regulations for bookmakers have tightened as the Gambling Commission has looked to increase the protection of the user. This is fantastic news for the industry and all who use online betting sites but you need to be aware that you may have some small inconveniences when trying to open a new online betting site or if you are wanting to place large bets with a bookmaker. ID verification is very strict and sometimes you may be asked to send off copies of documents for ID and address verification.
Also if you are placing large bets and or making large deposits then online betting sites have a responsibility to ensure that you can afford to do so. You may be asked affordability checks such as showing your pay slips and or you may be asked for proof of funds for money laundering checks. Don't take such requests personally, all licensed online bookies must follow these regulations or they can face huge fines.
Here are some common tips to help you with gambling responsibily online. For more information take a look at our detailed responsible gambling guide.

You will have seen this slogan used by online bookmakers frequently over recent years. It is trying to get across the serious point that if you aren't enjoying gambling you should stop immediately. You can use a process of self evaluation to help you to understand if you have a gambling problem. There is a great tool at Gamcare.
If you do believe that you have a problem then there is always someone to talk to at begambleaware. They can offer great advice including helping you to self exclude. There is a valuable service called Gamstop which allows you to self exclude from all betting companies signed up to the program for a period of your choice. All UK licensed bookmakers listed on this site will be part of the GamStop programme. For this reason (and many others) you should never join betting sites not GamStop.
🔚Set Limits and Use Bookmaker Tools
We strongly recommend that you record your gambling and set yourself limits. Only bet what you can afford to lose. Online betting sites have started to offer a number of tools to help you with this including
- Deposit Limits
- Session Limits
- Account History
- Time Outs
Using playing time notifications to remind you how long you have been gambling and when to stop is a useful tool and so is setting a specific loss amount you are happy with in advance.
