6:30 Wolverhampton Tips

Another horse that will try and do it from the front and has been a winner on AW before. Expect a bold show.

it is difficult to get away from Midnight Dream in this, the current favourite Distillate has done ok but Midnight Dream is in the form of his life.

Did win over C/D as a 2yo, but not visited winners enclosure since. However, has run some decent races in defeat since on Turf/Aw and is now very well weighted here off dropping mark of 58. Good apprentice retains ride taking off 3lb and shrewd trainer is best here with his 4yo plus last 5 seasons, making current 16/1 decent Ew value in the race.

Two turf runs during the summer for this 5yo, not great, but he was a good 4th of 12 two weeks ago over this 7f C/D on his return from a short break. Solid form over this C/D last winter, winning off a 3lb higher mark and going close off a 7lb higher mark. He has tended to run in better quality races. He came from too far back in that last race but he should be able to sit more handy tonight with a draw in stall 3.

Aspire To Glory has the potential to make a winning impact at Wolverhampton, with a strong performance and a well-judged ride likely to be key. If able to settle into a good rhythm and travel comfortably through the race, Aspire To Glory could have the finishing speed to get involved in the closing stages.

NZ horse that has had a recent win and likes this course. Expecting a bold run and may be able to stay on in places.

Calculated gamble for at least place money after a good win here a fortnight ago. Faces only a two-pound penalty.

Hasn't raced over this far since leaving Roger Varian, but his best form over the trip and farther is at least comparable with that over the sprint trips he has been kept to since joining the current stable. The draw hasn't been kind. He hasn't been out since June, and there appears to be no market confidence in his chance, so he's a risky betting proposition. The favorite apart, the form of the opposition looks sketchy at best, and he may run into a place at very rewarding odds.
