The Best-Backed Teams

Five clubs stand out from the rest when it comes to where the money has actually gone so far, led comfortably by Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich complete the group of four European heavyweights taking the bulk of early interest, leaving Arsenal as the only Premier League club to break into the top five despite the Gunners' odds-market standing.

Outright Odds: PSG Head The Market

Reigning champions PSG top the market to win the Champions League for the third year in a row.

PSG's implied probability of 16.7% puts them narrowly ahead of a closely bunched group of three sides all priced at 6/1, each carrying an implied probability of 14.3%.

Liverpool and Manchester United make up the rest of the market's more fancied names, with Inter Milan currently the longest price of the sides listed here at 28/1.

What the expert says...
You can see why Real Madrid are picking up so much of the money, that squad on paper is frightening and the history in this competition speaks for itself. But I actually think PSG heading the market makes complete sense too, back-to-back winners with that kind of squad depth are always going to be tough to oppose.

How The Group Stage Fixtures Look

European champions PSG will face Premier League duo Manchester City and Aston Villa, as well as five-time winners Barcelona, in the league phase of this season's competition.

Enzo Maresca's City side will welcome PSG to the Etihad Stadium and travel to Barcelona, where they'll have a reunion with Spanish World Cup winner Rodri.

Premier League champions Arsenal, meanwhile, will host 15-time winners Real Madrid at the Emirates and have also been handed a trip to Bayern Munich, a draw that immediately looks among the toughest handed to any of the four English clubs involved.

Europa League winners Aston Villa, returning to the competition after a season away, will host PSG and Dortmund while travelling to Barcelona and Galatasaray, with Unai Emery's side also facing Club Brugge, Fenerbahce, Viking and Slavia Prague.
