First Grade 1 Sets Up Year Four

With a maiden Grade 1 in the bag and a flying start to the new campaign, OLBG and Harry Derham Racing head into the fourth year of their long-term partnership, with plenty more to come.

OLBG (The Online Betting Guide) is delighted to continue its yard sponsorship of Harry Derham Racing (HDR) into the 2026/27 National Hunt season, the fourth year of their long-term partnership, as the team at Upper Farm builds on the most memorable campaign in the yard's history.

Last season delivered the moment every trainer dreams of when starting out, with Le Frimeur landing HDR's first Grade 1 at Punchestown. It capped a year of big-meeting highlights, with One Horse Town providing the yard's first Grade 2 success at Cheltenham and Klub De Reve adding another Grade 2 at Kempton.

The partnership between OLBG and HDR began in January 2024. Now in the fourth year of that partnership, OLBG continues to bring racing fans closer to the action through behind-the-scenes content and regular updates from the yard, while OLBG Racing has opened up more ways to get involved in ownership, from the OLBG Racing Club to syndicates and micro shares.

Landmark Season To Build On

Richard Moffat, CEO & Racing Club Manager at OLBG, said: "What a season Harry and the team gave us last year. Seeing Le Frimeur win at Punchestown was a day none of us will forget. We backed Harry because we believed he'd get to the very top, and he keeps proving us right.

“Alongside our yard sponsorship and sponsorship of stable jockey Paul O’Brien and Harry Reed we have also developed opportunities for people to follow the Harry Derham Racing team. We’re excited to be starting this season with five horses in training at the yard and a range of opportunities from a free newsletter to £95 for a small share in a horse, a fantastic community in the OLBG Racing Club and larger shares through the exciting horse Boombox.

“We're looking forward to sharing every step of the journey, growing the OLBG Racing community and, hopefully, celebrating plenty more winners together."

Harry Derham On What The Partnership Means

Harry Derham, National Hunt Trainer and owner of Harry Derham Racing, added: "Having OLBG alongside us is massive. Their involvement has gone well beyond a traditional yard sponsorship.

“From creating great content together to showcase the yard to building a range of racehorse ownership opportunities, their support means a huge amount to us.

"The OLBG Racing Club is a unique club, and I'm very fortunate to have their support. The members really enjoy their racing and their visits to the yard, and I think they get a real feel for what we're trying to achieve, both with their horses and the wider team. It has always felt like a community of people who care about the horses, love the racing and want to support the team.

"Being at the yard lets them see the horses on the gallops, how different horses work and how my training methods are evolving, and through the club we want to give them a genuine insight into what we do.

"OLBG are hungry for success. They're not just buying horses for the fun of it; they're trying to buy winners. We've got a really nice team of five OLBG horses who will be out there racing, and when you look at them you think, this is a good crew.

"As a trainer, what I want more than anything is to train winners. Being involved with a winner is a thrill, and while OLBG have had their share, I think this is the most exciting team of horses we've ever had for them. I hope that means some seriously fun days out, more and more success, and plenty for everyone to enjoy this season."
