Sheen Leads A Stacked Field Ahead Of Launch Night
The BBC's hit show Celebrity Traitors returns on Thursday night, and with the castle doors about to open once more, attention turns to one final look at the winner odds before a single murder has even taken place.
It's shaping up to be a genuinely stacked field this year, and the betting experts now have Michael Sheen out on his own as the man to beat heading into the launch, having previously shared favouritism with Joanne McNally.
Hosted once again by Claudia Winkleman, this year's castle welcomes 21 new celebrities, as a group of famous faithfuls attempts to work out which among them are traitors, secretly murdering contestants each night.
With a cast spanning actors, comedians, musicians and broadcasters, there's no shortage of contenders capable of either playing a convincing faithful or pulling off a devious traitor run all the way to the final.

Why This Field Still Looks So Open
What stands out most about this year's odds is just how competitive the market looks beyond the top couple of names.
With five celebrities tied at 10/1 alone, there's a genuine sense that this year's cast could throw up surprises once the game itself gets under way, and reputation ahead of the launch has rarely proven a reliable guide to how these things actually play out once murders and roundtable votes begin.
Sheen's move clear of McNally likely reflects a mix of profile and perceived game sense, but the show has a long history of unlikely faithfuls and traitors alike outlasting bigger names entirely. With this much talent spread across the cast, working out who's best suited to either surviving as a faithful or pulling off a convincing traitor run is genuinely difficult to call this far out.
Whoever is chosen as Traitors this year will jump right to the top of the odds list at the end of the week.
