Nellis And Best Shorten As Ballroom Action Looms
This year's series of Strictly kicked off last weekend with the launch show, but it's tomorrow night that really matters, as the celebrities take to the ballroom floor for the first live show of the series.
With professional pairings now confirmed, bookmakers have reshuffled the market considerably, and a couple of names in particular have caught the eye since our last look at this race.
Dani Dyer remains out in front, but even she has shortened since the launch, moving from 7/2 to 10/3 as her partnership with Nikita Kuzmin appears to have done nothing to dent her position as the celebrity to beat.
The bigger story, though, belongs further down the field, where John Nellis and Will Best have both shortened dramatically now that viewers have had their first proper look at how each celebrity has been paired.

How The Market Has Shifted Since The Launch Show
It's worth comparing today's prices against how the market looked before the pairings were revealed, and the movement tells its own story.
Nellis's shift from 12/1 to 8/1 alongside Katya Jones is one of the sharpest we've seen, and Will Best has followed a near-identical path, tightening from 12/1 to 9/1 with Dianne Buswell in his corner.
Lawrence Robb and Delta Goodrem have also come in slightly, from 11/2 and 7/1, respectively.
At the other end, several names have drifted out considerably.
Melanie Walters has moved from 16/1 to 33/1, Graeme Hall from 16/1 to 28/1, and Shaun Wright-Phillips from 28/1 to 40/1, suggesting their pairings haven't generated quite the same early buzz.
