  • Lascel Wood is the early favourite to win The Voice UK's fourteenth series
  • The series premiered on 22 August 2026, with will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones, Kelly Rowland, and the duo of Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones this season's coaches.
  • Monique Nicholson-Porter, also on Kelly Rowland's team, sits close behind Wood at 5/2

Wood Emerges As Early Pace-Setter

Lascel Wood has emerged as the early favourite to win The Voice UK's fourteenth series, with betting experts reacting to three episodes of Blind Auditions by installing the Kelly Rowland artist at the top of the market at 2/1.

The coaches are already well into the process of building their teams, and Wood's early positioning suggests a strong first impression has carried real weight with punters this early in the competition.

This year's series premiered on 22 August 2026, bringing back a coaching panel of will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones, and the duo of Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, with Kelly Rowland debuting.

All are now working to assemble their rosters ahead of the knockout stages later in the series, and with three episodes already aired the shape of each team is beginning to take form, even if there's still plenty of Blind Auditions action left to come.

Early favourites in talent competitions like this one don't always go on to win, but a strong price this soon into a series usually reflects a genuinely standout performance that's resonated with both the coaches in their chairs and the wider viewing public.

Early Odds Sees Competitive Field

Wood's implied probability of 33.3% puts him narrowly ahead of team-mate Monique Nicholson-Porter at 28.6%, meaning Kelly Rowland's team currently accounts for well over half the combined confidence shown across this six-name selection.

Ellie Harney isn't far behind at 25.0%, giving the Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones pairing a genuine contender of their own this early in proceedings.

The Coaches' Teams Take Shape

Kelly Rowland has moved quickest among the four coaches, having already recruited Monique Nicholson-Porter, Ray Gelato, Lascel Wood and Aaren James to her team, giving her two of the market's shorter-priced acts in Wood and Nicholson-Porter.

That early strength could prove significant once the competition moves into its later, more head-to-head stages.

Sir Tom Jones has brought in Cate McHugh, Vadé, Amália Estradas and Harry Linacre, while the pairing of Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones have added Ellie Harney, Ross McGuire, Ciiara Nyx and Finlay McKillop to their line-up.

will.i.am's team currently features Diogo Ferreira, Sonna Rele and BMG, with his roster still one artist behind the other three coaches at this stage of the process.

What the expert says...
Kelly Rowland having two of the shorter-priced acts on her team this early is a great position to be in, and it wouldn't surprise me if she ends up being the coach to beat once the series moves past the auditions stage.
