Harry Aikines-Aryeetey Sets The Early Pace
Betting experts have wasted no time getting involved now that the latest series of ITV's Cooking With The Stars has got under way, with odds already out on who'll be crowned champion.
The show kicked off last night, and despite starring as Woolpack chef Marlon Dingle in Emmerdale for decades, it was Mark Charnock who became the first celebrity eliminated, losing out in the Cook Off to Caroline Quentin.
It was former sprinter Harry Aikines-Aryeetey who made the biggest early impression, winning the opening Cook Off with his Fish Pie and immediately shooting to the top of the betting as a result.
The market will shape up once we see all of the celebs hit the kitchen in the coming weeks, with big names featuring in the line-up.

That opening Fish Pie win has made an immediate statement, with Aikines-Aryeetey now the one everyone else has to catch at 6/4.
His background as a former sprinter and Gladiator suggests the competitive instinct is there, and the experts clearly like what they've seen so far.
JB Gill and Dame Laura Kenny share second billing at 2/1, with Kenny's background as a former track and road cyclist perhaps hinting at the same discipline that could serve her well in the kitchen.
Karen Hauer, so used to performing under pressure on Strictly Come Dancing, rounds out the genuine early contenders at 3/1.

The Rest Of The Field
Scarlett Moffatt sits at 6/1, with Seann Walsh a little further back at 7/1, both still well within range if they can string together a few strong weeks in the kitchen.
Lesley Joseph (9/1) and Caroline Quentin (10/1) make up the next tier, with Quentin's price perhaps a touch generous given she's already shown enough to see off Mark Charnock in week one.
Zara McDermott drifts out to 12/1, while Joey Essex and Bez prop up the market together at 16/1 apiece as the outsiders of the competition.
